The enamel on this 18thc French pill or snuff or pill box is in good condition. Depicting a pastoral scene of a female and child watching a man fishing in a fast flowing river near a bridge with cottages and hills in the distance. The front, rear and sides carry images of various flowers. The lid closes securely and the double hinges are in good order. It is a good size measuring 90mm long, 50mm deep and 20mm high. A very attractive item with only minor age wear that will grace any collection and provide pleasure to its next owner.
