This cylindrical silver tea caddy was made by Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd in London in 1916. In the classic elegant plain design of the period, it is well marked and a clean example. Condition is very good with one minor ding to the right of the lift off cap as shown in the image. It measures 100mm high and 70mm across and weighs 100g. This silver vinaigrette with gilt interior by Thomas Shaw, Birmingham carries a mark for 1832 and has an attractive 'suitcase' design on the front with a floral reverse. It is in good condition with sound working hinges and a secure close. A tiny, delightful item (26mm wide, 20mm deep and 10mm high) that is perfectly formed. There is some light reflection in the images

This silver novelty owl menu or place stand with glass eyes was made by S. Mordan & Co. and carries a hallmark for Chester 1905. It also carries a Registered Design number of 433091. As you would expect it is quite small measuring 32mm in height and 25mm wide at base. It is a delightful object and will be equally at home holding a business card or joining a Mordan collection.

This silver christening mug in plain elegant form, was made in Birmingham in 1912, the rein of George V. The christening mug is a symbolic nourishment vessel presented in the hope of creating a healthy, strong child. Engraved with a name and/or date of birth, it is a tangible way of recording a chapter of a child’s life. This particular example is not yet engraved, measures 75mm high and 65mm at base, is in good condition and well hallmarked with only minor age wear.

This elegant silver and blue guilloche enameled letter opener or paper knife is hallmarked for Birmingham 1923. Condition is good with only minor age wear as you will see from the montage. There are no chips in the enamel. It is a little over 210mm in length with the handle 16mm wide at broadest point. A lovely item and a true reflection of its period.

This delightful Dutch silver oval box, dating from the late 1890’s, depicts a gentleman in an oval frame surrounded by roses, and is extensively decorated overall with scrolls and foliage. It has a vacant cartouche at either end and a landscape scene at front and rear. The hinge is sound and the lid well fitting. Measuring 70mm wide, 48mm deep and 27mm high it is in good condition with only minor age wear.

This oval shaped Victorian silver hip flask was made by John, Edward Wilmot in Birmingham in1897. It has a twist and hinge cap and is an excellent shape for the pocket. It is in plain, elegant form, hallmarked and with the twist and hinge opening and closing operating well. Condition is good with some minor age wear – some hallmarks are rubbed – and measures 125m long and 70mm wide.

This small Victorian silver heart shaped box is set with a 1901 Farthing. It has a gadrooned band to the hinged lid and a gilded interior. The maker is Saunders and Shepherd, Birmingham. Condition is good with a minor ding to the left hand edge as you will see in the images. It measures 50mm in length and 25mm high. The hinge is sound and it closes well. A lovely example of a table/ring/pill box with an interesting design.

This small late Victorian silver-mounted small glass hip flask, with a twist and hinged cap was made by Henry Matthews, Birmingham in 1892. The base has a removable cup with a gilded interior. The twist hinged cap is in good order and closes well. Of an ovoid shape and measuring 75mm high and 44mm wide it is well marked on the base, it is a delightful, tactile handbag/pocket size flask.
