This light oak easel backed, silver fronted photograph frame is marked for W I Broadway and Co. Birmingham 1979. You will note the embossed decorative border with its central vacant cartouche. The green silk backing to the photo area is intact and there is ease of opening to the rear. Condition is good with only minor age wear as is evident in the montage. It measures 210mm x 1500mm with a picture size measurement of 130mm x 90mm. An unusual and attractive frame of good size that will grace any hall table or piano. | |

This oval shaped Victorian silver hip flask was made by John, Edward Wilmot in Birmingham in1897. It has a twist and hinge cap and is an excellent shape for the pocket. It is in plain, elegant form, hallmarked and with the twist and hinge opening and closing operating well. Condition is good with some minor age wear – some hallmarks are rubbed – and measures 125m long and 70mm wide.

This Edwardian glass scent bottle with stopper is encased in a filigree design silver holder hallmarked for Birmingham1905.It is a good size measuring 140mm high and 57mm wide. The scent bottle is easily removed from its decorative holder should you wish to change the contents. Both items are in good condition with no engraving to the silver cartouche.

This intricate French Art Nouveau silver and gilt tea strainer was made by Charles Forgelot in Paris around 1905. The circular body is embossed with leafy berried fronds with a pierced central flower within a ring of stars. It has a turned fruitwood handle and measures 145mm long and 60mm across the bowl. This silver christening mug in plain elegant form, was made in Birmingham in 1912, the rein of George V. The christening mug is a symbolic nourishment vessel presented in the hope of creating a healthy, strong child. Engraved with a name and/or date of birth, it is a tangible way of recording a chapter of a child’s life. This particular example is not yet engraved, measures 75mm high and 65mm at base, is in good condition and well hallmarked with only minor age wear.
