This generously sized silver mounted rocker blotter carries a hallmark for Birmingham 1950. Its clean, simple lines are a reflection of the style of the period. A good weight for the job at 277g it measures 135mm long and 60mm high. Condition is good with some age wear including a small impression on the top of the knob. This is reflected in the price. It does not detract from this substantial and impressive blotter which will see many more years of service.

This exceptionally popular fountain pen range was launched by Parker in 1964 and, in its various finishes, was produced for the next thirty years. Parker called it the “75” following on from their usage of numbers to denote models which restarted with the “51”. This particular example, made in France, dates from around 1985 and is the gold plated “Perlé”, a particularly attractive pattern that sparkles in any light. The nib has a smooth point – the original Parker label states “medium” as does the rear of the feed – but to me it writes more with a fine to medium line. The text on the nib reads “Parker USA 14k Point”. Around the cap lip is the text “Parker Made in France” and the Parker arrow. Condition is very good as you will see from the montage. It is a slim, elegant fountain pen measuring 128mm with cap on and 144mm with cap on barrel end. It has a Parker squeezebox filler unit fitted and it will also take Parker ink cartridges. It will be a delight to own and use everyday and is a good example to add to a Parker 75 collection. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may select your method of payment. This squeezebox fill vintage fountain pen - the Parker 45 was launched in the U.S.A. in the 1960’s and proved to be a very popular economy pen. It was named after the famous Western pistol and was the first pen Parker issued which would take an ink cartridge. The model subsequently became available in the U.K. and this example the Parker 45 Harlequin with its Black Shield pattern, carries a date code of 1981. The model was phased out in 1983. Whilst it will take Parker ink cartridges, this particular example also comes with the Parker squeezebox fill system fitted that allows you to also use bottle ink. The nib is made of steel and has a firm medium point. The text around the cap lip states “Parker Made in England UI”. It is a long slim and very stylish pen measuring 135mm with cap on and 145mm with cap on barrel end. Condition is very good. It will serve well as a stylish everyday writer and is also worth a place in a vintage fountain pen collection as an example of Parker design that was only available for a short period. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order. This attractive portable wood desk stand comes complete with two glass inkwells, an integral front drawer and a firm stylized carry handle. I believe it dates from the early part of the 20thc. The two square glass inkwells fit well into their recesses so appear true to the piece. You will note there is a slight “play” on the hinge, most noticeably on the left hand one but the hinges themselves are secure.  It sits well on its four “bun” feet. It is a good size but not too large measuring 300mm by 200mm. The wood is walnut however the wood may have faded over time as you will see that the internal colour of the drawer is much darker. Nonetheless it is in good condition and a very tactile and pleasing item that will be a pleasure to own and use.

This Parker “51” Trio of vintage fountain pen, ballpoint and expel/repel pencil with rolled gold caps is in a colour Parker termed “Teal Blue”. It is actually a slightly greener blue than I have been able to capture in the photographs. The “51” aerometric filling fountain pen was introduced by Parker in 1948. Its aerodynamic design made it a classic and the plaudits it received over the years both in terms of design and reliability are well deserved. Towards the end of the 50’s Parker extended the “51” range to include Trio sets of which this is a good example. They were understandably popular at the time. All three items are in good condition with only minor age wear and are complete with the Parker grey cap “jewels” in the crown.  The Parker 51 nib is a smooth medium writer. The ballpoint takes modern Parker refills. The expel/repel pencil contains lead. Whilst it will take modern day 0.9mm replacement leads I will include a phial of Parker replacement leads issued at the time. All three items are in working order and ready to use. The fountain pen measures 138mm with cap on and 150mm with cap on barrel end. The rotary pencil measures 126mm and the ballpoint 130mm. An excellent vintage writing trio, in a very attractive colour, from a respected manufacturer to either add to a collection or to use everyday. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may also select your method of payment. This vintage fountain pen - the Parker “51”, was launched in England by Parker in the early 50’s. Its aerodynamic design has made it a classic and the plaudits it has received over the years both in terms of design and reliability are well deserved. It has been marketed as “51…the world’s most wanted pen”. This particular example, dating from around 1958, has that classic combination of black with a rolled gold cap and Parker arrow clip.It comes with a smooth Parker 51 medium point nib that states “585 14K Parker Made in England. The cap carries the Parker grey “jewel” in the crown and the Parker "halo". Condition is good with only minor age wear. The aerometric filling system is often termed "squeezebox" and is a very simple method of filling the pen with ink by unscrewing the barrel to expose a metal shell covering the ink sac - just press the metal bar and release up to five times and this vintage pen is ready to use. It measures 135mm with cap on and 148mm with cap on barrel end. The Parker "51" was an outstandingly popular fountain pen in its day and it remains a stylish and extremely good “work horse” today. The aerodynamic design of the Parker ‘51” has made it a classic and the plaudits it has received over the years both in terms of design and reliability are well deserved. It has been marketed as 51…the world’s most wanted pen”. This particular trio example, dating from around 1955, has the classic combination of black body with rolled gold caps. The trio comprise fountain pen, ballpen and expel/repel pencil. As you would expect, all items are in working order. Each cap carries the Parker grey “jewel” in the crown. The fountain pen has a Parker 51 smooth medium point nib. The aerometric filling system is often termed "squeezebox" and is a very simple method of filling the pen with ink by unscrewing the barrel to expose a metal shell covering the ink sac - just press the metal bar and release up to five times and this vintage pen is ready to use. The ballpen has a new black medium point refill and the pencil comes with a phial of the original Parker refill leads – although moden 0.9mm leads will suffice. With regard to condition, there is a small ding on the pencil cap (visible on close inspection of the montage) and the shadows of minor dings on the ballpoint and fountain pen cap – these are reflected in the price - otherwise condition is good with minimal age wear.  The fountain pen measures 136mm with cap on and 150mm with cap on barrel end. The pencil measures 126mm and the ballpoint 128mm. The Parker 51 was an outstandingly popular fountain pen in its day and remains a stylish and extremely good “workhorse” today. This is an excellent vintage trio for everyday use and it comes in a Parker trio box as shown in the montage. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order. This unusual and stylish late vintage fountain pen was made by Parker in America c1982 and is reported to have been discontinued with the rest of the series in 1983. It was termed the Parker “50” or Parker "Falcon". It followed the success of the original brushed steel Flighter version released in U.S.A. in 1978. The nib is an integral part of the section and on its launch Parker advertised it as the second pen without a separate nib – the first being the quill. Its sleek, elegant and futuristic styling is quite distinct. The polished nib tip is pleasantly offset by the matt brown nib section, barrel and cap with gold plated Parker arrow clip. It has the words “Parker Made in U.S.A.” around the cap lip. It is a slim pen measuring 130mm with cap on and 140mm with cap on barrel end. It has a Parker squeezebox filling system fitted and it will also take current Parker ink cartridges. Condition is very good as can be seen in the montage. With its sleek aerodynamic styling this late vintage fountain pen is suitable to add to a collection or to use as an every day writer if you like a smooth fine to medium nib. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may also select your method of payment.

This squeezebox fill vintage fountain pen is one of the successful Targa range - a model produced by the Sheaffer Pen Company from 1976 to 1999. This is model 1005 – a 23k gold electroplated finish with a fluted design to barrel and cap. It is an early example with the Sheaffer crown imprinted on the cap lip. The cap lip also carries the text “Gold Electroplated Sheaffer U.S.A.” and a “hallmark”. It has the stylish Sheaffer 14k inlaid nib with a smooth medium point. As you would expect it has the Sheaffer “Lifetime” white dot on the clip and black inlaid ends to cap and barrel. The pull off/push on cap secures with a satisfying click. It has a squeezebox filling system fitted but you could use a Sheaffer ink cartridge if you prefer. Condition is good with some plating wear. It is quite a substantial pen in the hand and measures 135mm with cap on and 152mm with cap on barrel end. There is some light reflection in the image. The Targa series, with its wide range of finishes, is an interesting model to collect as well as a pleasure to use everyday.
